Classical Guitar Recital by J u d i c a ë l    P e r r o y

Judicaël Perroy has become widely known as an extraordinary virtuoso classical guitarist and musician with several prizes from prominent international competitions to his credit. In 1997, he captured the prestigious first prize of the 15^th Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) International Competition and Convention awarding him a tour of the United States and Canada with more than sixty concerts.  He is also highly sought after and in great demand as a teacher globally in top conservatories, universities and major guitar festivals.

For beginners you will hear a small orchestra with a polyphony of different colours and different voices.  For the intermediate and advance players you will be surprised by the amazing fingers of Mr Perroy and the many possibilities that he brings on the classical guitar. And for the very serious player you would be happy to also learn from him in a Master Class that he is collaborating with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) guitar department. 

Joining Mr Perroy is our very own Singaporean young budding 15 year old classical guitarist Kevin Loh who will open the concert for Mr Perroy.  Kevin was talent-scouted by the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School (YMS) in 2010 on Youtube and he received a bursary from The Rolling Stones to study at the YMS and in the same year, he also won the HSBC Youth Excellence Award 2010. 

Named by My Paper in 2012 as 10 Singaporeans Who Make Us Proud, Kevin became the first Singaporean to participate and win in the junior category of the Guitar Foundation of America's (GFA) International Youth Competition 2012, one of the biggest guitar competitions in the world.  

In this concert you will hear both GFA winners collaborating in a guitar duet. You will also hear pieces by many great composers from Bach , Ponce, Legnani and many more. A concert not to be missed by guitar and music lovers, you will hear the intensity, sensitivity, passion, colour and the dedication of two very outstanding classical guitarist.
