Set to the final suite of Marcel Tournier’s ‘Images’ for harp, Secrets of the Magical Aviary is
a harp colouratura that carries the audience through a programmatic evening of fables and
poesy. The strings of the harp are the figurative aviary’s boundaries, and their reverberations
cast the images of love, fate and death onto the walls of the Play Den. Young harpist Laura
Peh takes us on a journey through music and literature, exploring the likes of Pushkin,
Verlaine, Piazzolla and Faure.
