Shakespeare Lives In Film: Theatre of Blood

To celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, Shakespeare Lives in Film is a showcase of six classic adaptations of the Bard’s work. Featuring Laurence Olivier’s Academy Award winning performance as Hamlet and the ground breaking casting of Laurence Fishburne as Othello, the first major cinematic production of the work to cast an African-American in the title role, these landmark performances are not to be missed by fans and neophytes.

Theatre of Blood is a genuine and underrated oddity of British cinema, combining grotesque cinematic effects with parody and caricatures to create an exceptional film.
